Tuition & Payment Policies

  • Enrollment runs on a session from September through June, with monthly payments to cover the full year.

  • We accept cash, checks, or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX).

  • If paying by credit card for monthly tuition, an additional 4% fee applies. You may keep a card on file through our online portal for automatic billing on the 1st of each month.

  • A registration fee of $35 per dancer or $50 per family (2+ students) is due at registration; after December 1, 2025, the fee increases to $50 per dancer or $75 per family.

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month and is considered late after the 10th, incurring a $25 late fee.

  • Returned checks will be charged a $35 fee.

  • Tuition is non-refundable.

  • If a student registers late in the month, tuition will be prorated accordingly.

  • Students must have all accounts paid in full before participating in the recital.

Attendance & Absences

  • Parents should notify the office if their child will be tardy or absent.

  • If a student misses more than one month due to injury or illness, only 50% of the next month’s tuition will be charged after we are informed. We will work with families beyond this period if needed.

  • Consistent attendance is important for progression to higher levels.

  • Arrive early to warm up and prevent injuries.

Studio News & Updates

  • Check the studio bulletin for news and upcoming events.

  • Email updates are sent via our database, and news is shared on KSDK and FOX2.

Withdrawals

  • Enrollment is based on the September-June session.

  • To withdraw, a parent/guardian must submit an official withdrawal form (available online or at the front desk) either in person or via email at ejdancecenter@yahoo.com before January 1, 2026.

  • Failure to notify by this date will result in ongoing tuition, recital, and costume fees.

Dress Code

  • Follow the dress code outlined on our website.

  • Dress code is strictly enforced for all students.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

  • Please park and escort children to and from classes.

  • Younger students should be supervised by a parent or guardian entering and exiting the studio.

  • Be punctual in picking up your child. Excessive lateness may result in additional charges for staff overtime.

Student Drivers

  • Students should not walk to their vehicle alone after dark.

Personal Belongings

  • The studio is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We recommend only bringing essentials.

Class Placement & Advancement

  • Mommy & Me and Pre-Ballet are based on age.

  • Other class placements are determined by instructors based on age and skill level; adjustments may occur throughout the session.

  • For questions about placement, contact the office at 314-270-8030 or ejdancecenter@yahoo.com.

  • Advancement is based on skill development and readiness.

Inclement Weather Policy

  • For weather-related closures, email us at ejdancecenter@yahoo.com.

  • Decisions are made promptly; if classes are canceled, you will be notified by email or phone.

  • Stay updated via local news stations (FOX2, KSDK) and our social media pages.

  • No refunds will be issued for weather cancellations.

Performances

  • A recital is held in the beginning of June (see our studio calendar for exact dates).

  • A production fee covers theatre rental, sound, stage tech, costumes, and administrative costs.

  • Costumes are ordered and distributed by the studio.

  • Students must notify the office/instructors if unable to participate (recital participation form due mid-December).

  • All balances must be paid to perform in the recital.

Community Service

  • Competition students are required to participate in two community service projects annually, held in November and December.

  • All dancers are encouraged to participate, regardless of competition status.

Private Lessons

  • Private lessons are scheduled directly with your instructor.

  • To cancel, parents must email ejdancecenter@yahoo.com by NOON the day of the lesson (no phone calls).

  • Missed or canceled lessons after the noon cut off time will result in having to pay for that lesson. And if we receive no notice, you will be charged in full.
